The Resource Center has been providing services to persons with disabilities in the Chautauqua County area since 1958.
From our humble beginnings as a gathering of parents and concerned citizens who wanted to provide educational and training opportunities for persons with developmental and intellectual disabilities, The Resource Center has grown into a comprehensive agency providing services to thousands of persons with all types and levels of disabilities.
The Resource Center is the largest non-governmental employer in Chautauqua County with more than 1,300 employees on its payroll.
The mission of The Resource Center is to support individuals with disabilities and other challenges in achieving maximum independence, contributing to their community, experiencing lifelong growth, and enjoying quality of life.
HOUSEKEEPER - JOB DESCRIPTION
RESPONSIBLE TO: Housekeeping Supervisor
FUNCTION: Performs assigned housekeeping tasks to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the residence.
Although responsible to the Housekeeping Supervisor, the Housekeeper is expected to function responsibly and independently without direct supervision.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
1.
Performs housekeeping tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
a.
Thorough cleaning and sanitation of bathroom facilities.
b.
Washing windows
c.
Thorough cleaning and sanitation of kitchen appliances and storage areas.
d.
Maintenance of floors and carpeting.
e.
Laundry of bedding, linens, curtains, and other items as needed.
f.
Cleaning and dusting of furniture and upholstery.
g.
Cleaning woodwork, walls and fixtures.
2.
Reports to the Residence Managers items in need of repair or replacement, as well as, materials necessary for completion of housekeeping tasks.
3.
Performs housekeeping in a skillful and professional manner.
4.
Performs any other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in residential housekeeping is preferred.
The ability to perform physical labor, including heavy cleaning tasks is necessary.
