Overview: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team.
The PMHNP will provide outpatient psychiatric evaluations and medication management services.
This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities: - Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments to determine the mental health needs of patients - Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with mental health needs - Provide medication management and prescribe psychotropic medications as necessary - Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate patient care - Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed - Provide crisis intervention services and support to patients in acute distress - Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies - Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation in accordance with standards of care and Sunrise Collaborative's Policy and Procedures Skills: - Experienced in medication administration, including psychotropic medications - Ability to work effectively in an outpatient setting - Knowledge of psychopharmacology and evidence-based treatment modalities for mental health disorders - Ability to accurately diagnose and engage in differential diagnoses.
Requirements: - Completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program - Holds a valid CRNP/NP license in the state of Pennsylvania - Holds a valid DEA number in the state of Pennsylvania - Board certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) - Preferred - Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a PMHNP in an outpatient or similar setting - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages for our employees.
