*Job Overview*:
Mobile Crisis Services are provided in the community to persons experiencing a mental health crisis.
This service includes intervention, assessment, brief counseling, referral and follow-up.
Mobile Crisis Services also operates as a supportive component of all Crisis Services which includes Telephone, Walk-in, and Emergency Mental Health Delegate Services.
*Responsibilities and Duties:*
* Provide Crisis Intervention services to the community, inclusive of individuals, school districts, police departments, hospitals, McKean County organizations and others.
This position maintains an emphasis on services to children and adolescents in McKean County.
* Assist in arranging support and follow up services to individuals (particularly youth) as appropriate for addressing the ongoing mental health needs of those in crisis.
* Provide documentation of service activities in accordance with best practice guidelines and electronic data system.
* Participate in trainings which further a trauma informed response to individuals in crisis and as required by program and agency.
* Respond to requests for service with other Mobile Crisis personnel, functioning as a team response when appropriate.
* Participate in program promotion, outreach and awareness, as well as network development of all affected agencies, programs, municipal departments and persons essential to effective program operation.
* Participate in the efforts of the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program.
* Participate with Senior Director of Crisis Services in ongoing development of crisis services to adhere to regulations and requirements.
*Requirements:*
*Education:*
* Master's degree in social work, psychology, rehabilitation, activity therapies, counseling, education or related fields and 3 years of mental health direct care experience.
* Bachelor's degree in sociology, social work, psychology, gerontology, anthropology, political science, history, criminal justice, theology, counseling, education or a related field, or be a registered nurse and 5 years of mental health direct care experience, 2 of which shall include supervisory experience.
