Cardiology Technician, Part-Time

Warren General Hospital is seeking a talented professional to join our Imaging Services Department to help with the following: * Schedule exams and coordinate with other departments and physicians.
* Perform EKGs, Stress Tests, Holter Monitors, EEGs, Pacemaker checks, and event recorders.
* Order and complete procedures in Order Entry system when necessary.
* Enter patient charges in hospital information system.
* Provide patients with pre-testing information and instructions as appropriate.
* Explain testing procedures to patients and/or family and prepare patients for testing.
* Transcribe test results and distribute.
* Perform certain medical/statistical record keeping and documentation as requested by the Imaging Manager and Medical Director of Cardiology.
* Ensure that all EKG machines in WGH are restocked with necessary supplies, and are in working order.
Calls for service when necessary.
* Adhere to all policies and procedures as outlined by the department and hospital.
* Ability to work with the customer in a kind, courteous manner.
* Perform other related duties as required.
*Work/Education Requirements:* * High school education or equivalent is required.
* Working knowledge of medical terminology.
* EKG certification preferred.
* Knowledge of general cardiology business practice, medical supplies, ordering procedures, inventory and clerical skills.
* CPR certification.
* Basic typing and computer skills.
Job Type: Part-time Pay: From $17.
