*Job Summary:* CCA builds resilient communities by helping people achieve economic, physical, and emotional security.
As such this position provides mental health therapy and groups services to primary and secondary victims including rape/sexual assault, family violence, and all other types of crime.
*Education & Experience:* * Must possess a master’s degree in education, counseling, social work, or related field.
* NYS possess or be striving towards mental health licensure in New York State.
* Licensed Master Social Work, Licensed Clinical Social work, or Licensed Mental Health Counselor.
* Must possess or be striving for NYS Dept.
of Health Rape Crisis Counselor Certification.
* Must successfully complete all mandatory victim service training and must document ongoing in-service training (related to victimization), plus 10 additional hours per year.
*Other Requirements & Skills:* * Must promote CCA’s vision of contributing to a nation that creates opportunities for all people to thrive; builds strong, resilient communities; and ensures a more equitable society.
* Must have experience around the issues of poverty, victimization, post-traumatic stress disorders, trauma response, family systems, and criminal, and juvenile justice systems.
* Must have the enthusiasm and experience to provide service-based solutions for clients and develop innovative approaches to holistic care for survivors or crime and communities who have experienced complex, personal, historical, and cultural trauma.
* Must have knowledge of the human services and mental health networks in Cattaraugus as well as surrounding counties and communities.
* Must maintain flexible work schedule to best meet the needs of clients.
All work performed with clients shall, at a minimum, meet all performance standard threshold of practice set forth by Connecting Communities in Action, State and Federal regulations, funding sources.
* Must have the ability to report designated office location or other CCA works sites as required.
* Must have the ability and willingness to provide mobile services for client needs throughout the agency’s service area.
Mobile services shall be provided in accordance with Connecting Community Action policies or as approved by an immediate supervisor.
* Must have valid driver’s license, insurability, and reliable transportation.
* Must pass all relevant criminal justice including New York State Justice Center- Staff Exclusion List; New York State Central Register; local, state, and federal background checks and virtual fingerprinting; DRU SJODIN Nation Sex Offender Registry.
*Primary Responsibilities:* * Establishes personal treatment goals and advocate with other helping agencies to ensure holistic care for survivors.
* Collaborate daily with the CCA victim service staff and community partners for referrals and case collaboration for survivors of crime.
* Provide total clinical case management, as prescribed by Connecting Community in Action policies, procedures, as well as clinical and supervisory guidance to all survivors.
* Promote the availability of NYS Office of Victim Services compensation assistance.
* Participate in staff/division meetings, case /team reviews, and trainings as required to improve the quality of the Victim services Division.
* Provide case and clinical consultation with other Victim Service Staff and community partners as appropriate * Facilitate therapeutic group counseling sessions to victims and/or secondary victims as appropriate.
* Provide collaboration and feedback to the survivors, program staff and community referral sources regarding victim’s progress and readiness to progress along treatment levels as appropriate.
* Record case notes/ progress notes summarizing client progress toward treatment goals.
Also, maintain records and compile data reports for all work with survivors.
* Prepare materials for case conferences/reviews with other victim services program staff and with other necessary agencies as well as for ongoing development and updating of case files.
* Build, liaison and maintain professional relationships with community stakeholders to accomplish referrals, direct services, service coordination, building partnership and community networking.
* Participate to the optimum level in various teams and shall report on a regular basis to the victim services your immediate supervisor.
* Attend CCA team meetings, case reviews and other service and partnership meetings in service area as well as other committee meetings as deemed necessary.
* Conducts all work in a manner that meets all performance standard thresholds of practice set forth by Connecting Communities in Action, State and Federal regulations, and funding sources.
* Complete all necessary paperwork including intakes, release of information, measure of wellbeing, spent sheets, and referral assistance with NYS OVS Compensation Claim Forms * Represent CCA and Victim Service Department staff meetings.
* Responsible to report any unsafe situations to the immediate supervisor.
