Clinic Volunteer

*CLINIC VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!!!* *Chautauqua County Humane Society (CCHS) is seeking volunteers to join our team and assist in our Medical Clinic!* CCHS is a nonprofit organization.
CCHS is funded solely on donations.
CCHS does not receive local, state, or federal funding to run our facility.
CCHS depends on the generosity of our community to donate not only funds but hours to run and maintain our facility and the health and well-being of our shelter animals.
CCHS would not function as it does with you, our volunteers.
Are You: * Retired * Veteran * Vet Tech student * Looking to fill your time * Looking to volunteer Can You: * Dedicate 15 - 20 hours per week? * Be reliable and dependable? * Handle observing surgery? * Listen to direction and follow through? * Learn new information and retain it? Clinic Volunteer Responsibilities: * Scrub preparation * Surgical pack preparation * Complete intakes * Observe and report urgent matters * Clean up before, during, and after surgeries * Pay attention to detail * Assist with waking up animals from sedation Experience Required: * MUST be 18 years of age * Experience with animals * Customer service * Patience and empathy * MUST be able to lift 50 lbs.
* MUST be able to squat frequently, stand for long periods, bend, stoop, reach, and walk * Able to follow direction This is a volunteer role.
There is no monetary compensation and no benefits in this clinic volunteer role, but there is reward in volunteering to help the welfare and health of our shelter animals.
