*WESTERN NY CHURCH SEEKS PASTOR* The First Congregational Church of Little Valley, NY has been continuously ministering to our area residents since 1840.
Our pastor has retired, and we are seeking a full time or part-time pastor, who is willing to guide us into the bright future ahead.
We believe in God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, as well as the inerrant word of the Holy Scriptures.
We are looking for a pastor who is open, engaging with the congregation, and energetic! If you are willing to make an investment in our church family, our growth potential, and in reaching out to our local community, then we truly wish to hear from you.
Qualifications: 1.
Pastoral experience with skills in preaching, teaching, counseling, and community outreach.
2.
The heart of a servant with strong interpersonal skills.
3.
Willingness to reach out to the house bound and those recovering from surgeries or illness.
4.
Skill at working with the church volunteers for events.
5.
Attend some local government meetings to better understand our community.
6.
Actively seek to know our church history, to guide us in these present days, and to build our future.
7.
We would appreciate a candidate with a seminary certificate, or degree in theology, but will consider all experiences of interested candidates.
Our area provides an outstanding opportunity for rural living at its best.
We are the Cattaraugus County Seat, with the county office buildings, the county Sheriff’s office, and the county Fairgrounds.
The Allegheny hills are picturesque and there are State and National parks nearby, including Niagara Falls.
Recreation in summer includes golf courses, lakes, streams, and off-road trails, in winter snowmobiling and skiing/snowboarding in Ellicottville only 8 miles away.
Professional sporting events in Buffalo are only an hour away.
There are also large regional hospitals, medical offices, and urgent care facilities.
