*Career Opportunity* *Title: *Nursing Supervisor *Department: *Nursing Administration *Status: *Full Time *Shift: *7a-7p *Hours per week: *36 *Job Summary: *Promotes andrestores patients' health by developing day-to-day management and long-term planning of the patient care area; directing and developing staff; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary professional staffs; providing physical and psychological support for patients, friends, and families.
Position exercises considerable judgment in applying professional knowledge in solving nursing problems within established policies and practices and is reviewed by the supervisor through conferences, reports and observation of results obtained.
The Nursing Supervisor assures that the Practice of Nursing shall be performed within the scope of practice as outlined for Registered Professional Nurses in the NYS Education Law, Title V111, Article 139 and the NYS Office of the Professions Nursing Guide to Practice *Education / * *Licensure/Certification * *Requirements: * Current and unrestricted NYS Nursing license required.
Associate’s degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing school required.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
ACLS and BLS required within 6 months.
3 - 5 years clinical experience.
Charge Nurse Experience.
Good clinical, communication and interpersonal skills required.
3-5 years demonstrated nursing leadership experience preferred.
Experience in leading Quality initiatives preferred.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $75,000.
