Job title: Patient Care Associate Department: Intensive Care Unit Site: Brooks TLC Hospital Full Time openings available Shift: 7:00am - 7:00pm Job Summary: The Patient Care Associate is responsible for direct patient care as assigned by the charge nurse, and assists nurses and physicians with treatments and examinations and procedures as requested.
Must maintain current BLS status, attend all mandatory hospital education, and meet required amount of mandatory in-service hours.
Perform EKGs, Phlebotomy, vital signs and must demonstrate knowledge of the computer systems.
The PCA strives for good rapport with physicians and fellow coworkers, must possess a sense of accountability, responsibility, initiative, and honesty.
Must respect patients' privacy making provisions for such at all times, and must communicate in a professional and cooperative manner.
Every other weekend and every other holiday required.
Flexibility to be scheduled 7:00pm to 7:00am for continuity in coverage.
Education/ License/ Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent.
Requirements: Must complete an orientation class for patient care associates and successfully complete all related training and credentialing including, but not limited to; BLS and phlebotomy.
Previous hospital healthcare experience preferred Job Type: Full-time Pay: $16.
