Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Title: *Registered Nurse - Emergency Room* Location: *Dunkirk, NY* Pay Rate: *$85 per hour* | *$3,060 weekly* Shift: *3x12s - 36 hrs per wk - Nights.
* *Job description:* We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room team in Dunkirk, NY.
As an ER Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing quality care and support to patients in emergency situations.
*Responsibilities:* 1.
Assessing and triaging patients as they arrive in the emergency room, ensuring prompt and accurate identification of critical cases.
2.
Collaborating with the medical team to develop and implement appropriate treatment plans based on patient condition and medical history.
3.
Administering medications, managing IV lines, and performing other treatments as required.
4.
Monitoring and documenting patients' vital signs, symptoms, and changes in condition.
5.
Responding quickly and efficiently to medical emergencies, coordinating care with other healthcare professionals as needed.
6.
Communicating effectively with patients, families and caregivers to ensure they are well-informed about their condition and the treatment plan.
7.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history, medications, and treatment plans.
8.
Adhering to established protocols, procedures, and safety guidelines to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
9.
Participating in continuous education and training to stay up-to-date with new developments and best practices in emergency nursing.
10.
Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and provide seamless, patient-centered care.
*Requirements:* 1.
Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of New York.
2.
Minimum of 2 years of experience working in an emergency room setting.
3.
BLS and ACLS certifications.
4.
Excellent assessment and critical-thinking skills.
5.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and unpredictable environment.
7.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
8.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
9.
Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.
10.
Knowledge of relevant legal regulations, ethical standards, and best practices in emergency nursing.
