Position Description: Part-time, 20 hours/week.
The Project Coordinator/FAFSA Completion Corps is a part-time, 9-month, grant-funded position and will be responsible for developing and overseeing a team who will support FAFSA awareness and completion efforts for high school students and adult learners, with specific interest in students in poverty, immigrant students, students experiencing or learning English as a new language, and military connected students.
The Corps will also provide the same services to college students to encourage FAFSA completion for the next academic year.
Essential Functions: Recruit and supervise student volunteers, ensure they are up to date on training Coordinate visits to local high schools, community functions, and other venues for FAFSA completion efforts (FAFSA completion nights).
Hold on campus office hours and information sessions for FAFSA awareness and education.
Track students’ hours and create reports to share based on activities.
Develop presentations, FAQ documents, videos to help supplement efforts.
Partner with existing FAFSA completion and awareness efforts on campus.
Attend meetings with student volunteers and SUNY program coordinators and report program results, as directed.
Qualifications: Required: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience to demonstrate ability to perform the job.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with a diverse population of students and others.
Supervisory experience.
Ability and willingness to work non-traditional hours as needed to carry out position responsibilities.
Preferred: Experience with federal and state financial aid processes.
Additional Information: Salary: $23.
88 - $30.
00/hour.
