About Jamestown Community College FSA: The Faculty Student Association (FSA), an independent non-profit 501 (c) (3)organization, is the prime sponsor of co-curricular activities at Jamestown Community College.
It is financed entirely by FSA fees paid by all students and faculty.
The corporation is managed by a board of directors consisting of representatives of the college's administration, faculty, staff, and student body, and makes possible many enriching and enjoyable experiences which add to the total college experience.
Funds are allocated annually to the Student Senate.
FSA also funds other social, cultural, athletic, and recreational programs and services.
Position Description: Full-time.
The administrative assistant is responsible for supporting fiscal and other operations within the Faculty Student Association.
Duties include: preparation of payroll; accounts payable entry and tracking, managing residence life inquiries and tracking housing applications and deposits.
Will provide assistance with Total Fitness operations as needed.
The administrative assistant must have the ability to perform tasks with minimum supervision/instruction, be self-motivated, and have great attention to detail.
The administrative assistant must be able to multi-task in a highly complicated and busy environment consistent with policies, procedures and guidelines governing auxiliary services and their operations.
Essential Functions: General Office Support/Coordination: Assists with walk-in, web-based and phone inquiries from students, potential students and the general public.
Provides general information on FSA-related program questions in a helpful, courteous manner.
Provides clerical assistance for departmental and professional staff.
Maintains confidentiality of information regarding student discipline, resident contact or personal information, in accordance with supervisor requests and FERPA.
Prepares reports, correspondence, letters, memos, and student records, as requested.
Collects time cards and prepares bi-weekly payroll register for Executive Director’s approval.
Serves as primary contact for vehicle reservations.
Responsible for entry of accounts payable invoices into accounting system.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to efficiently organize, prioritize, understand and meet deadlines.
Ability to remain focused in an atmosphere of frequent interruptions and distractions.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Attention to detail.
Ability to take initiative and embark on necessary tasks even if not directly instructed to do so.
Ability to work with office technology and software systems.
Knowledge of JCC and FSA resources, departments, programs, and information systems.
Qualifications: Required: Associate’s degree plus two (2) years of related experience.
Must possess: excellent written, oral, and interpersonal/human relations, commitment to providing excellent customer service, problem solving, and organizational skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred: Experience in student affairs, with prior experience working for college auxiliary services.
Experience with Quickbooks.
Additional Information: Salary: $19.
67 - $23.
45/hour.
Full-time benefits available, sponsored by the Faculty Student Association.
