As an LVN/LPN working the night shift, you will be responsible for providing professional nursing care and support to our elderly residents during their nighttime hours, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being.
NEW GRADS ACCEPTED Responsibilities and Duties: 1.
Administer medication, monitor vital signs, and provide basic medical care as per physician instructions.
2.
Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding.
3.
Observe residents for any changes in conditions and report findings to the charge nurse or physician.
4.
Respond promptly to residents' calls and emergencies, providing immediate assistance when necessary.
5.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records by documenting all resident care accurately and timely.
6.
Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary team, including doctors, nurses, and caregivers, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
7.
Promote a safe and clean environment by adhering to infection control procedures and facility policies.
8.
Communicate effectively and compassionately with residents, families, and staff to ensure their needs are met with dignity and respect.
9.
Provide emotional support to residents and their families, addressing their concerns and answering questions as needed.
10.
Keep up-to-date with nursing best practices and attend training sessions and meetings as required.
Qualifications and Skills: 1.
Valid LVN/LPN license in the state of Pennsylvania.
2.
Proven experience working in a long-term care or similar healthcare setting.
3.
Efficient knowledge of nursing practices and procedures.
4.
Demonstrated ability to assess and prioritize resident needs effectively.
5.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6.
Strong attention to detail and ability to document accurately.
7.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
8.
Compassionate and caring demeanor with a positive and patient attitude.
9.
Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
10.
Flexibility to work night shifts and weekends as required.
