What does a Rouse Unit Clerk do? Ensure records are accurately completed and recorded in EMR from admission to discharge for all residents.
Coordinate the Part B referral process between Nursing and Therapy Departments.
Review, distribute and monitor return of daily MRR reports from Pharmacy.
Review, distribute and monitor monthly MRR, Psychotropic Medication, Antibiotic Stewardship along with pharmacy recommendations.
Collect and distribute unit paperwork to proper department for continuation of resident care.
Record and monitor lab process from collection, review and documented completion to ensure completed process was obtained.
Enhances Nursing department by working together as a team to accept ownership for tasks while exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What are the requirements to be a Unit Clerk at the Rouse? Certification in Medical Assistance, Pharmacy Technician or other health-related field, preferred with minimum 2 years of experience in a long-term care or other healthcare environment required.
In lieu of certification, must have minimum of 5 years of equivalent experience in long-term care or other healthcare environment.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple tasks and responsibilities.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Competency with electronic record-keeping systems and office equipment.
Thorough understanding of medical terminology and pharmacology.
