*Job description* *SUMMARY* The Golf Pro Shop Manager will be responsible for all day-to-day golf operations at Peek’n Peak Resort.
This includes the organization and coaching of groups and individuals, as well as, stocking and running a profitable golf shop.
It also includes the administration of competitions, corporate outings and other such programs at the Resort.
Responsible for relationship management that results in guest expectations being met and exceeded, attracting new customers, and retaining existing ones.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:* * Establish and operate an appropriately stocked golf shop and deliver excellent customer service.
* Deliver a high standard of support in golf operations including organizing and running tournaments, providing expert advice on rules, monitoring tee sheet activity, handicapping records, player service operations, and providing an efficient golf cart service.
* Communicate daily needs and schedules to the Golf Course superintendent and work together to provide quality guest experience.
* Production of regular operation reports containing details of course utilization, sales and marketing activity and financial performance.
* Contribute to the preparation of annual budgets, business plans, sales and marketing plans and operational strategies.
* Order and track inventory for pro shop.
* Staffing of the golf shop to ensure that sufficient staff are available to meet operational needs.
* To keep abreast of technological improvements in the industry and recommend any potentially beneficial additions to the Resort.
* Provide effective team leadership, motivating and monitoring staff to ensure that customers are receiving high standards of conduct, appearance, and coaching.
* Actively participate in networking opportunities, developing links with external agencies (local schools, clubs, businesses etc.
) to promote the fame of golf and the Resort facilities to potential new customers.
* Manage cleanliness and proper operation of golf cart fleet.
*EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE* * High School diploma or equivalent.
* Minimum of 2-4 years golf course operations experience; golf course management experience preferred.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Temporary Pay: $20.
