*Position Overview*: As a Reservation Specialist, you will play a key role in helping guests plan and book their dream vacations in Chautauqua Institution, Chautauqua Lake, Ellicottville, NY and the surrounding areas.
You will be the first point of contact for potential guests, providing them with exceptional customer service and assisting them in selecting the perfect vacation rental property to meet their needs.
*Key Responsibilities*: - *Customer Service*: Provide excellent customer service by assisting guests with inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a seamless booking process.
- *Vacation Planning*: Engage with potential guests to understand their vacation preferences, needs, and budget, and recommend suitable vacation rental properties.
- *Reservation Management*: Handle bookings, process reservations, and manage availability, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the reservation system.
- *Property Knowledge*: Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the vacation rental properties in our portfolio, including their features, amenities, and local attractions.
- *Communication*: Communicate with property owners, housekeeping and maintenance teams, and other departments to ensure guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
- *Sales*: Upsell additional services and amenities to enhance the guest's vacation experience, increasing revenue.
- *Documentation*: Maintain accurate and organized records of all reservations, guest information, and communications.
- *Problem Solving*: Resolve guest issues, complaints, and emergencies professionally and efficiently.
- *Team Collaboration*: Work closely with the sales and marketing team to promote vacation rental properties and special promotions.
*Qualifications*: - High school diploma or equivalent.
College degree in hospitality, tourism, or a related field is a plus.
- Customer service and sales experience preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.
- Computer proficiency, including experience with reservation management software.
- Knowledge of the Ellicottville and surrounding areas is advantageous.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
