*JOB DESCRIPTION: * This position serves as the primary safety and health resource for plant production staff and office employees for all Artone LLC facilities.
This position coordinates, facilitates and monitors the implementation of the Artone LLC safety and health programs and initiatives.
An employee in this position must focus on a customer’s expectations, prevent problems, and strive for continuous improvement resulting in improved results for themselves, customers, and other employees.
The employee assists and works with Human Resources staff as needed to complete required human resource assignments.
*POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS / KNOWLEDGE*: · Assists in the development, coordination, and implementation of all Artone LLC safety and health strategies, policies, initiatives, and action plans.
· Implements, monitors, and assesses the effectiveness of the implementation of the Artone LLC safety and health programs.
· Identifies safety and health training needs, assists in program development, coordinates, monitors, and delivers training as needed.
· Assists supervision in the investigation of safety events, compiles report of findings, and recommends corrective action.
· Facilitates nurtures and ensures the effectiveness of the Artone LLC Safety Committee Team.
· Maintains knowledge of current, applicable regulatory and Artone LLC safety and health standards and applies them to Artone LLC conditions.
· Promotes safety and health through actions and effective communication with all levels of employees and management; promotes a high level of safety and health awareness.
· Attends/conducts safety meetings throughout all Artone LLC facilities; high visibility throughout plant.
· Performs safety observations, identifies potential hazards, and makes recommendations.
· Ability to work with and through others.
· Prepares written safety and health programs and policies.
· Identify Artone LLC safety training needs and develop and coordinate safety training programs.
· Develop annual Artone LLC safety and health goals.
· Participate in new product/process reviews including process hazard analyses, Operator Training, etc.
· Support plant personnel in selection of appropriate personal protective equipment.
· Maintain corporate safety library (e.
g.
videos, regulations, reference manuals).
· Promote safety and health awareness through internal Artone LLC memoranda, newsletters, and specific training programs.
· Advise manufacturing plants and corporate staff of regulatory changes with which the plants must comply.
Sufficient advance notice should be provided so that compliance on the effective date of new regulations is assured.
· Periodically audit practices and records of manufacturing plants to ensure compliance with Artone LLC programs and Federal/State occupational safety and health regulations.
*SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:* · This position does not have any direct reports but acts as a leader to all employees regarding safety requirements.
*POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:* · 40 hours per week, 7:00am – 3:30pm *TRAVEL:* · May be required to travel to training courses and meetings pertinent to the job duties.
*WORK ENVIRONMENT:* · While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office and manufacturing environment.

The employee is frequently required to stand, talk and hear.
o Occasional heavy lifting *REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:* · Required to understand and communicate in English.
*COMPETENCIES/SKILLS: * · Proficient at leading and participating in incident investigations.
· Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to deliver effective presentations.
· Strong leadership, teamwork and interpersonal skills required, coupled with high integrity and ethics.
· Well organized; able to prioritize and complete multiple tasks; meet deadlines.
