Job Summary: Setup and operate a two (2) axis CNC horizontal turning center and a four (4) axis CNC horizontal turning center with a bar feeder to perform various milling, drilling, tapping, boring, facing and turning operations in a job shop or production environment.
Operator will manufacture component parts for Heat Exchangers, Filter Housings and Tanks.
Able to properly utilize dial calipers, dial indicators, depth gauges, vernier calipers, inside and outside micrometers, height gauges, precision rules, straight edges, feeler gauges, parallels, bore gauges, squares, hole gauges, protractors, and levels.
Education and/or Experience Required: Microsoft Office/Dynamics and CAM software knowledge a plus.
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the setup, programming and operation of CNC turning centers for heavy roughing to light finish cuts on small to medium sized parts OR an Associate degree in machining with successful intern experience machining parts for manufacturing.
A Machinist works on the production floor and must be able to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
You must also be able to reach above and below your shoulder and have fine finger manipulation.
You must be able to work in an environment that is considered dusty and dirty.
(Metal dust) Hourly position availability on 2nd shift.
2nd shift is M-Th 2:30pm – 1:00am.
Training may occur on 1st shift.
Position requires the ability to work over-time, which may include arriving early or working on normally scheduled days off.
