Scope:
The Load Wheel Trimmer in the Finishing Department at Superior Tire & Rubber Corp.
plays a crucial role in the final stages of the manufacturing process.
This position involves the careful and precise trimming of load wheels, which are essential components in various industrial equipment, such as forklifts and material handling devices.
Essential Job Functions:
Load Wheel Trimming:
Perform accurate and consistent trimming of load wheels using specialized tools and equipment.
Ensure that each load wheel meets specified quality and safety standards.
Work efficiently to meet production targets while maintaining a high level of precision and attention to detail.
Follow established procedures to optimize the trimming process.
Quality Control:
Conduct thorough inspections of load wheels before and after trimming to identify any defects, imperfections, or deviations from the required specifications.
Report any issues to work cell supervisor and quality control team.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of the trimming process, including the number of load wheels trimmed, any quality issues encountered, and any adjustments made to the equipment.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery and handling materials.
Report any safety concerns to supervision and safety.
5S and Machine Maintenance:
Responsible for the proper care and maintenance of trimming tools and equipment.
Report any malfunctions or damage to maintenance staff and follow safety protocols.
Continuous Improvement:
Contribute ideas and suggestions for process improvement to enhance efficiency, quality, and overall productivity within the finishing department.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Communication:
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth production flow.
Collaborate with other technicians and departments as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Full Time Non-Exempt
Monday through Friday OR Sunday through Thursday
Weekends as needed.
Required to work onsite 100% of the time.
Travel:
Limited travel in the Warren area
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office environment.

Required and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Familiarity with industrial equipment and tools used in the trimming process preferred.

Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Adherence to safety protocols and guidelines.
