Duties:
- Perform TIG welding on various materials, including steel, stainless steel and aluminum
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding codes and standards
- Set up and operate welding equipment, including TIG welders and associated tools
- Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, cutting, and shaping as necessary
- Performs visual inspection of all components handled and some dimensional inspections
using simple measurement devices
- Troubleshoot and resolve welding issues as they arise
- Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and according to specifications
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a TIG welder, with a strong focus on steel, stainless steel and aluminum (MIG and Spot-Welding a plus)
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and welding codes and standards
- Forklift certification is a plus
- Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to fabricate and build components from prints
- Attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality welds
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
