Job Title: Production Associate
Microtech Knives, a leading manufacturer of high-quality knives, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Production Associate to join our team at our Bradford, Pennsylvania facility.
As a Production Associate, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process of our precision-crafted knives, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
What you could be doing
1.
Operate machinery and equipment used in the production of knives, including but not limited to grinders, CNC machines, lathes, and assembly stations.
2.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment and prevent accidents or injuries.
3.
Perform quality checks at various stages of the production process to ensure that knives meet specifications for sharpness, alignment, and finish.
4.
Assemble knife components accurately and efficiently, following detailed instructions and diagrams.
5.
Conduct routine maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.
6.
Assist with inventory management by accurately tracking materials and components used in production.
7.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
8.
Maintain a clean and organized work area to uphold cleanliness and safety standards.
Requirements:
1.
High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
2.
1 year of previous experience in manufacturing, preferably in the production of knives or similar products.
3.
Proficiency in operating machinery and equipment commonly used in manufacturing environments.
4.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
5.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
6.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
7.
Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed to meet production deadlines.
8.
Commitment to upholding quality standards and producing superior products.
9.
Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking.
10.
Strong attendance record with a solid work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications but not required:
1.
Vocational or technical training in machining or manufacturing.
2.
Experience with CNC machining and programming.
3.
Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
