What You'll Do:
Performs the following daily duties, following established practices set forth in the Manufacturing Instructions Manual and directions from the Bottom Pour Setup & Shipping Supervisor.
Abides by all applicable quality policies,
Responsible for the accurate completion of documentation,
Performs housekeeping, material stocking, and ingot identification,
Maintains cleanliness of stripping pit, dumping pit, furnaces and ingot storage area,
Performs material handling tasks,
Performs stripping of molds from ingot in accordance with manufacturing instructions,
Loads/unloads annealing furnace and hot boxes as required,
Verifies ingot number, size, and customer grade specifications,
Oversees and/or performs accurate mold set up for nightly production, bricking, runner bar cutting, or other tasks as required,
Determines, performs, and coordinates ingot annealing cycles to facilitate shipments,
Coordinates shift work assignments and demands with Supervisor,
Assists shipping department as required,
Assists the teeming crane operators with all tasks requiring a crane, including, but not limited to: stripping of overpours, changing slag pot in pits, handling of ladles where needed,
Assists maintenance during breakdowns, and Performs other duties, assignments and projects as deemed necessary
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, climb and bend.
The employee is regularly required to use hand and fingers to handle objects and controls and reach with arms and hands.
The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job the employee regularly works in extreme weather, is frequently exposed to airborne particles and occasionally exposed to fumes.
The noise level in the work environment is frequently loud.
What You'll Need:
Education: Minimum High school graduate or equivalent G.

Experience: 1-2 years operating an overhead crane preferred, 1-2 years experience operating heavy equipment is required.
